  1. Well it sounds like you nailed it. I have been using my new HP 15-p263nr for a couple weeks now and it does seem to perform quite well for a fairly inexpensive laptop. I found mine for $445 new on ebay and it’s well worth all of that. It seems to be well built and I really like the touch sensitivity of the full size keyboard, however, it is kind of hard to see in dimly lit rooms. Even if the letters were a bit bolder on the keys would be nice. It is very sleek and light making for easy transporting. The display is very nice once you download the newest graphics drivers from the AMD website. The display color is completely customizable and has more adjustments than you really need. It has a color temperature adjustment from 4000 to 10,000 kelvin. It also has 2 brightness controls and a back light adjustment, 2 contrast controls, saturation, tint and gamma adjustments for complete control of the color and back lighting. The Beats audio is also customizable, but falls short of the hype over the Beats audio. For a laptop, the sound is more than adequate being loud enough for moderate listening to music and watching videos. Hey, it’s a laptop not a stereo. The HDMI port is a nice feature if you want to plug it into a TV, and 3 usb ports is also adequate. I prefer to have the headphone jack on the front of the machine, but it’s not all that bad being on the forward right side of the machine. It also has a nice multi use DVD disk drive which is essential to any laptop in my opinion. It has double layer and re-writing capability. A multi card reader is also essential in my opinion which it does have. This laptop comes with some very nice software and a bunch of games if you’re into games. The photo editing software is especially nice in my opinion, and it has many of the features that my old HP Media Center laptop has for music, photo’s, video etc. It comes with a trial version of MS Office and McAffee internet security so you can get right on the internet without worry if you don’t already have an internet security system to use. This laptop seems to have decent speed although I haven’t really put it to a vigorous speed test. I wish the RAM was upgradable. According to HP it is not, but this computer does come with 8 GB of installed RAM. When you access the Task Manager and click on Memory, the computer shows the 8 GB of RAM and it indicates that only one of two slots are in use, but there is no removable cover on the bottom of the computer to access the memory cards. I did see another 15-p263nr on ebay that was listed as being upgraded to 12 GB of RAM so I would assume that this machine is RAM up-gradable, but probably won’t be easy to get at the memory card slots. Overall this is a very nice machine for the money and is well built as most HP computers are. I think you will have a very hard time finding another PC that compares to this one for the price. Very nice!
