Lately, we’ve seen a lot of interesting laptops on the market, but the HP Spectre x2 12-a002dx managed to catch our attention thanks to it’s unusual, but in the same time stylish, design.
It’s a convertible model, offering improved flexibility and portability. It comes with a feature characteristic to tablets, a SIM card slot, enabling you to use a 4G LTE mobile broadband.
The laptop is powered by a 6th Gen Inte Core m7-6Y75 processor, with two cores, running at 1.2 GHz, teamed up with 8 GB of RAM, great for smoothly running any app of your choice or keeping open multiple browser tabs, at once.
The graphics department is represented by an Intel HD Graphics 515 chip, with a total of 4134 video memory, enough for daily activities, like browsing the Web, consuming media and even some casual gaming.
It has a 256 GB solid state drive, which, even though it’s offering less storage space than a regular hard disk drive, it has no moving parts, therefore it’s able to deliver faster start-up times and data access.
The HP Spectre x2 12-a002dx comes with two USB 3.0 Type C ports, with high transfer speeds and sleep-and-charge capabilities. It also has a built-in card slot, supporting microSD formats, for quick file transfers.
In terms of connectivity, it features next-gen wireless, three times faster than Wireless-N and a Bluetooth 4.0 interface, so you can sync it with compatible devices, like tablets or smartphones.
Moving on to the display, the HP Spectre x2 12-a002dx has a 12″ WLED-backlist touch screen display, with a WUXGA+ resolution of 1920 x 1280 pixels. Also, the IPS (in-plane switching) technology offers wide viewing angles, so you can use the laptop in various conditions.
Even though it doesn’t have the biggest display, thanks to the full HD resolution, it can be great for watching movies. Pairing this with the quad Bang & Olufsen speakers, it can be great for watching some of your favorite movies on the go and not only.
Above, it has an Intel RealSense 2.0 MP 3D camera, with a full HD resolution, while the 5.0 MP front-facing HP TrueVision HD webcam is great for keeping in touch with your friends. On the back, it also has another 8.0 MP HP TrueVision HD camera, alongside integrated dual-array microphones.
The HP Spectre x2 12-a002dx measures just 0.52″ in thickness and weighs 2.68 lbs, for increased portability. It has a Natural Silver finish, creating a very elegant look.
The laptop is not the cheapest out there, but it’s not expensive either, considering the way it looks and the specs: $1149.99. It comes with a pre-installed copy of Windows 10, so you don’t have to spend any extra money on the operating system.
