With their new Galaxy A line, Samsung didn't launched just a new family of smartphones, with a totally reinvented design, as this month, two new tablets were also introduced, making the move from the look we were used with to a fresh and more stylish design. One of them is the Samsung Galaxy Tab A SM-T350NZAAXAR, which is maybe the best looking tablet you can currently get for less than $250.
Since it's powered by a quad-core CPU clocked at just 1.2 GHz, there's no doubt that it can be considered an entry-level model. Still, it's aided by 1.5 GB of RAM (the LTE version is equipped with 2 GB), while the internal storage capacity counts 16 or 32 GB , once again depending on the model.
Of course, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A SM-T350NZAAXAR features a microSD card slot, which allows you to expand the storage with 128 more GB. The tablet also has a microUSB v2.0 port, while in terms of connectivity it comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 interface, for pairing it with compatible devices, Side Sync 3.0 and finally, Quick Connect, so you can easily share content between your tablet, phone or PC.
The display is a TFT capacitive panel, with 16 million colors and it measures 8.0 inches. The resolution is just 1024 x 768 pixels, resulting a density of about 160 pixels per inch. It's true, more pixels would've been better, but let's not forget that it's a budget tablet in the end.
Moving on to the cameras, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A SM-T350NZAAXAR features a 5 MP sensor on the back, with autofocus, able to take pictures with a maximum resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels and record 720p videos. The front-facing one isn't missing either. With a 2 MP sensor, it's more than decent for a quick video call or why not, a selfie.
In terms of battery, the tablet is powered by a non-removable 4200 mAh unit, which can provide up to 120 hours of music playing or 11 hours of 3G talk time. Also, the Ultra Power Saving Mode turns off non-essential apps and shows images just in black and white in order to make the last bits of power last as much as possible.
Design-wise, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A SM-T350NZAAXAR has a very slim profile, measuring just 0.29" and it weighs just 313g. The side bezels are slim but provide a good grip, while on the bottom, we can find a physical button and two capacitive keys. It's available in Smoky Blue, White and Smoky Titanium.
Like mentioned above, the tablet is available for a very pocket-friendly price of just $229.99. It's running on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, customized with Samsung's TouchWiz interface, allowing you to remain connected and productive.
To sum up, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A SM-T350NZAAXAR is a very good choice for anybody who wants a well-built and stylish tablet, with more than decent specs, available at a very good price.
